SCOTT PLUNKETT fell in love at age seven—with the Hammond organ his parents had just bought. He took lessons on and off, but figured out music by ear and practiced late into the night. His high school and college years were devoted to serious music study and he played in lots of bands. In 1980, producer David Foster walked into a club where Scott was playing and asked him to audition for the Boz Scaggs tour. Scott worked with Boz and, between tours, did recording sessions and co-wrote songs with Michael McDonald. He has toured with Michael McDonald, Stevie Nicks and Don Henley, and has music-directed tours for Peter Cetera and Boz Scaggs. Scott now tours with Chris Isaak. He also designs synthesizer sound patches for the Yamaha Corporation’s latest electronic instruments.
